Do you wonder why some groups are magic and others are disaster?

Is every meeting you attend boring?

Do you wish you weren’t the only person talking in your class or group?

Would you like to know how to REALLY help others change behavior?

Do you avoid getting groups together for fear of dealing with people who might monopolize? Confront? Disagree? Fall asleep?

Would you like to have every one of your presentations be dynamite and memorable?

If so, Group Process and Facilitating Skills is for you.

The Group Process and Facilitating Skills Workshop Topics Include:

Group Process Formula® (GPF)

GPF is a tried-and-true format for running any group no matter the reason for meeting or subject matter presented. The Formula maximizes the group members’ participation and integration of skills. GPF groups are lively, positive and fun.

Listening So People Talk

As group leaders, how do we listen to make sure each and every member of our group is engaged? How can we structure our group sessions so that all participants talk at least once every session?

Talking So People Listen

As group facilitators, we need to present information clearly, provide examples to bolster theory and confront participants sensitively and effectively.

Presenting Skills, Practicing Skills

Group leaders want to impact members of their groups by making sure they actually utilize the information the leaders present. With Group Process and Facilitating Skills, we present practical strategies and provide time for people to practice them to maximize learning before they try them out in the real world.

Effective Feedback

What’s the most effective way to tell someone your response to something they did or did not do – either behavior we perceive as negative or behavior we think is positive?

Dealing with Participants who are getting nowhere

Some people in our groups “get under our skin” and some members “play games” to avoid applying information. What signs are there when this happens and how can we deal with the situation effectively?

Co-leading Groups

If possible, we urge you to co-lead groups. Why? What are the benefits and drawbacks to co-leading?

Implementing a Train-the –Trainer Model

Leaders are everywhere and we hope you will consider training trainers to “spread the word” quicker and often more effectively.
